Launching Google Arabia on Instagram

  • The Challenge

    Google Arabia was years behind on launching a presence on Instagram, having only maintained a presence on Facebook on Twitter since 2012

    Google Arabia wanted to tap into the millennial and Get Z demographic that is highly active on Instagram.

    Google’s content on digital was predominantly focused on being functional/informative which may not appeal to an aesthetics heavy platform like Instagram.

  • Objective

    Launch Google Arabia on Instagram and achieve 10,000 followers (organically) in the first 30 days.

    Push Google's content with a new facelift, making sure it appears to Instagram users from both a content and visual perspective.

  • Results

    We over achieved on our KPIs in the first 30 days by more than 4X, having reached the 40,000 followers mark by the end of the first month, with the account currently entertaining more than 61,800+ followers from across the MENA market.

    Organic engagement is higher than average (benchmarked against technology company accounts in the region) with an average engagement rate of 10% Vs. our follower base.
